Can it measure formaldehyde? Is eTVOC the same as formaldehyde?

No, it cannot measure formaldehyde.

TVOC refers to total volatile organic compounds, containing thousands of compounds, which may have irritating odors, some of which are harmful to human. When the number of people in the room increases, or when cooking, eating, cleaning, makeup, etc., TVOC may increase significantly, and usually decrease after the activities end or ventilations have been done. Indoor TVOC may also originates from the combustion products of coal or natural gas, tobacco, etc., as well as materials used in construction and decoration, furniture and household appliances.

The TVOC sensor used in this product automatically adjusts the measurement baseline according to the data of the past period, so this product displays eTVOC (equivalent TVOC), which is not an accurate TVOC absolute value, and is only for users to observe the relative change trend of environmental TVOC concentration.

How long is the standby time?

When the USB power is not connected and the remaining battery level reaches 1%, the Qingping Air Monitor will be automatically turned off. It can work continuously for about 3 hours, from fully charged to automatically turning off. You can plug it in USB power all the time. Qingping Air Monitor is equipped with a power management system similar to a laptop, and continuous connected to USB power will not damage the battery.

Why can't the product connect to the Mi Home app?

The product may not be supported by your region's server of Mi Home / Xiaomi Home. If you cannot find the product while adding it in the app, please change the server in the Settings of the app to "Chinese mainland" and try again.
